Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro clocked his season’s best after finishing in seventh place in the World Athletics Championships men’s 100 metres heats stopping the time at 10.53 seconds.

American Mike Rodgers came first in their heat with the time of 9.98 seconds.

Former World Champion Justin Gatlin and Rodgers clocked the fastest time in the heats both stopping the time under 10 seconds.

Tabakaucoro will now set his focus on the men’s 200 metres.

Meanwhile, Leslie Copeland will take part in the men’s javelin throw this Friday.
