Pacific Sprint Champion Banuve Tabakaucoro clocked a new personal best time of 10.20 seconds in the 100 metres event during the weekly athletics competition last week.

This was revealed today at a press conference that the former Marist Brothers High School student ran a manual time as his previous personal best time was 10.33 seconds.

Tabakaucoro said this was a major boost for him as he prepares for the upcoming qualifying tournaments for the Rio Olympic Games.

Tabakaucoro is likely to leave for Poland this Sunday and will take part in the World Indoor Athletics Championship.

Meanwhile, the staff of Digicel Fiji today hosted Tabakaucoro to a morning tea on his achievements after being awarded the Fiji Sportsman of the year award.
