“We are on track to defend the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s title.”
That is the statement from Tabadamu Red coach Pio Kaberi ahead of the tournament which starts this Friday.
Kaberi said they have the experience to retain the title but it will depend on how the players perform during the tournament.
Some players in the Tabadamu Red team are Jone Vota, Sitiveni Waqa, David Batiratu, Emosi Vucago, Alipate Ratini and Emori Waqa.
The defending champions had beaten Hideaway Hurricanes in the final last year.
Tabadamu Red is pooled with New Born Waibasaga Rugby Club, Kabuleka and Samurai Dolphin.
The 40th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held this Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
