Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama has raised concern about a TVNZ report which he said are misleading and mischievous.
The TVNZ report includes an interview with Australian Foreign Minister Stephen Smith on Fiji.
However, it has footage of fearful Islamic women looking from their doorsteps while the US and Australian soldiers patrol the streets of Baghdad.
Bainimarama said the footage shown in New Zealand does not even say that the images are from Baghdad and it clear implies that this is what is happening in Fiji.
He also said that the reports should be fair and some overseas TV reports are also showing footage of armed soldiers on the streets. The footage does not even say that it is file footage from the 1987 and 2000 coups.
