The Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL) has clarified that the reconnection fees of $10 wrongfully charged by TFL was due to technical issues.

Consumer Council of Fiji had raised concern that in the past few weeks they received several complaints from consumers who were wrongfully charged $10 reconnection fees by TFL, despite making their payments on time at the Post Fiji Outlets.

TFL Group Manager Marketing and Public Relations Vanessa Kilner told Fijivillage that there were some technical issues with one of their mailer machines which resulted in the delayed printing of both Connect and TFL bills in November and December and as a result customers received their bills late.
