The Tertiary Education Loans Scheme Board is struggling to find students to fill the quota allocation of 600 for the National Toppers Scheme.

TELS Board Chairman Dixon Seeto says they are aiming to give away all the 600 Toppers Scheme scholarships that they have.

Seeto says a lot of the applicants are interested only in Medical, Engineering and Commerce studies.

According to the TELS Board website, there are only 171 scholarships available for Medicine and Health, 47 in Engineering studies and 20 available for Commerce studies.

Seeto says to address this issue they are going to open their offices in Suva, Labasa and Lautoka over the next few Saturdays.
