The Textile Clothing and Footwear Council (TCFC) of Fiji is hopeful that an allocation of $300,000 will boost the industry, which over the past 12 months has seen over 1000 job losses and reduced exports.
Council President Kalplesh Solanki said the money which has been allocated by the Government will see the industry getting more orders as the money will be used over a three year period.
Meanwhile, TCF industry is also working towards increasing exports to over $150 million and to employ more than 6000 people within the next three years.
