A heavy rain warning remains in force for Fiji.
A strong wind warning is in force for the land areas of the Western half of Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and Rotuma.
Tropical Cyclone Pam is now upgraded to a category 5 system and the centre is located near 14.2 South and 169.8 East.
Tropical Cyclone Pam is now moving South South West at 15 kilometres per hour and the centre is located 900 kilometres West North West of Nadi.
Wind speed around the system is 220 kilometres an hour.
The Nadi Weather Office stresses that Category 5 Cyclone Pam is very broad and Fiji will experience heavy rain and strong winds.
People are being urged to take precautionary measures.
