Switch off lights when not in use and try to save energy to save your environment.
This message comes from the Interim Lands Minister, Netani Sukanaivalu who while launching the WWF campaign for Earth Hour 2009 today stressed the importance of saving energy for a better climate.
This year around 50 million people switched off their lights in 35 different countries at 8.30pm and next year the Earth hour aims to enlist one billion people in more than 1000 cities around the world to switch off their lights for an hour on 28th March.
In Fiji 11.2 megawatts of power was saved during Earth Hour this year which is equivalent to running two diesel generators.
