The World Health Organization has now renamed the swine flu virus as the Influenza H1N1.

At a meeting yesterday with the National Taskforce and Health Officials at Nadi, the airport workers including airline officials, tourism representatives and those involved in the border control have been advised to use personal protective equipment.

According to Dr Joe Samuela and Dr Rafai who had a brief meeting with the airport officials at the Nadi International Airport yesterday, gloves and masks are to be utilised during flights and when flights land at the airport.

This is part of the prevention and preparedness measures to fight against the swine flu which has now changed its name to Influenza H1N1.
