The two Southern teams Suva and Navua have been the talk of the Inter District Soccer championship as both sides remain unbeaten after day two of competition yesterday.

Navua has been the giant killers of the tournament as they beat Lautoka 1-nil while Suva has laid down the challenge for the other teams after beating Ba 1-nil.

Both Navua and Suva are likely to be the first teams to qualify for the semifinal provided today’s result goes their way.

Navua goal scorer Inia Boko said the team work really hard throughout the game which enabled him to score the goal.

Meanwhile, Suva coach Gurjeet Singh said they are still not safe after two wins.


In other games played yesterday, Labasa is back on track to defend their title after a 2-1 victory over Tavua, while Nadi manage to hold off a spirited Savusavu side to win 2-1.

The first super premier match today will be played at 10:15am between Nadroga and Navua, Rewa will meet Savusavu at 11:30am,Suva will face Rewa at 5:15pm,Lautoka will play Labasa at 6:30pm while Ba takes on Nadi in the last game at 8pm
