The capital city, Suva side proved too good for the Northland team after they thrashed them by 20-6 in the game that was played yesterday.

Suva had the likes of Dale Tonawai and Alefoso Yalayalatabua, whose experience carried a lot of weight.

In the other game that was played yesterday, defending Digicel Cup champions Nadroga registered their first win against neighbours Navosa with a 41 10 win.

Nadroga also secured the win with a bonus point scoring four tries and led 14 10 at halftime.

Former 7s rep Iliesa Ratuva scored the first try for Nadroga before Jonetani Ratu increased their points to 14 10 at halftime.

Nadroga increased their lead in the second half with two tries to Mesulame Soga and two to Ratu.
