The Suva Rugby Union could be the only union to give six proposals at this week's FRU Annual General Meeting (AGM).

In one of the Proposals, the Suva Rugby Union will ask the FRU to give the Development Grant of $120,000 to the major unions and then move on to the B Divisions and Island Zones.

Suva Rugby Union Secretary Vilikesa Rauca said that right now all the unions are at a loss every year, financially.

Rauca added that all unions taking part in FRU sanctioned competitions are only getting a set of shorts and jerseys and $13,000 from Digicel, but the total administration costs amount to $120,000 per year.

Suva has also pushed for the separation of the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) boundaries to enable swift development work in the various provinces.

Rauca added that Suva has also pushed for the abolishment of the Rakavi Trust and added that the three nominees to the Trust to be given back to the unions, so major representation can be increased in the board.

The FRU AGM will commence at 10am on Saturday at the Nasova Police Barracks.
