In four days time, Suva City will get a taste of true Pacific life as over 600 students from 12 countries will march through the city centre displaying their cultural dances in the opening ceremony of the Pacific Youth Festival.
Festival media liaison officer William Naisara said a special request was made to organizers from the participants to show the public their way of thanking the Fiji public.
Over 1000 youths will take part in the opening which will be held at Albert Park this Saturday, with President Ratu Josefa Iloilo to officially open the one week meet.
A total of over 600 youths from the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Tuvalu, Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Cook Islands, American and Western Samoa, Wallis and Futuna along with two delegations from French Polynesia are expected into the country this week.
