As the prestigious Farebrother Sullivan Trophy is spending its first week in Suva, there are some promising signs already.
The Suva Rugby Union will get an increased sponsorship next year after dethroning Nadroga.
Carlton Brewery marketing manager Joseph Rodan said Suva’s win last Saturday has prompted the company to reward the union and boost the club games in the capital.
Rodan added some Suva fans were even surprised that Suva has beaten Nadroga and wrestled away the prestigious title after seven years.
Meanwhile, Suva Rugby Union chairman Francis Kean said the challenge match this Saturday will be held at Churchill park at 3pm.
Kean added they cannot hold the game at Ratu Cakobau Park because it will be an advantage to Naitasiri while Albert Park cannot accommodate the capacity crowd for such a big game.
