Suva's Pita Rabo was the first soccer player to score a hat-trick at the Courts Homecentres IDC after he helped the capital city side beat Nasinu by 5 goals to nil.

Rabo scored two goals in the first half, the first in the 30th minute of the first half, his second goal came in the 5th minute of the second half and he sealed the win in the 30th minute of play.

Suva's other goals came from former All Whites player, Campbell Banks and Henry Dyer.

Nadroga created the biggest upset of Day 1 of the IDC when they defeated favourites Ba 1-0 in the second match.

The dark horse of the tournament scored in the first half and did not allow Ba to equalise eventhough the men in black attacked till the final whistle.

In the third game of Day 1, Lautoka beat Labasa 2-1 and the last game of the day saw host Nadi defeat Rewa 2-1.
