The Suva 15s rugby team has taken an early lead in the opening round of the Digicel Cup after recording a 40 points to 14 win against Tavua last Saturday.

Suva leads with 5 points after scoring a bonus point with more than 4 tries and will try and extend that lead this weekend when they will travel to Gatward Park to play Northland.

Defending champion, Naitasiri is at second place with 4 points followed by Northland, Ovalau, Nadi and Rewa after they secured close win against their opponents.

Nadroga is one of the sides that failed to secure a point last weekend after losing to Naitasiri 23-15.

In this weekend’s Digicel Cup competition, Lautoka host Tailevu, Naitasiri travels to Nadi, Suva faces Northland, Nadroga plays Navosa and Macuata will take on Rewa at home.

All games will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday.
