Suva has once again walked away with the FMF Chow Games title after walking home with most of the medals on offer in Day Two of the competition.
Entering Day Two of competition, Suva was trailing in both the girl’s and boy’s division but this afternoon, the capital city side walked off with gold in 10 out of the 12 relays.
Team manager Master Lasarusa Senibale said the win, which sees Suva retain the title 9 years in a row, was a result of a long talk in camp last night where the athletes were reminded that a positive attitude was needed.
Looking into the Medal Tally: In the girl’s division:
Suva leads with 13 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
Second is Lautoka with 7 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze while Cakaudrove is third with 6 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
In the boy’s division, Suva retained their title with 15 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze.
Second is Cakaudrove with 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze while Lautoka is third with 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
