Suva was hammered 3-nil by Auckland City in their first game of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League last night at the ANZ Stadium.

David Browne, Sam Burfoot and Adam McGeorge scored for the defending champions who led 1-nil at half time.

Suva coach Gurjit Singh says overall they played well but they lost focus in the second half.

Meanwhile Ba opened their campaign on a high thrashing Gaitcha 3-nil last night at Govind Park.

Abbu Zahid, Malakai Tiwa and Avinesh Waran scored for the Men in Black side.

Ba will face Lupe Ole Soaga on Tuesday at 4.30pm while Suva will play Amicale at 7pm at the ANZ Stadium.
