The Fiji Bitter Suva side has again defended the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy after beating a gutsy Vatukoula side 32-20 at the ANZ Stadium.

Suva’s captain James Brown led by example for the capital side by crossing the try line twice.

The Farebrother defending champion scored five tries to stop the “never say die” Vatukoula team.

Suva’s other tries were scored by Necani Wakaya and two from national sevens star Sunia Kubu.

Suva led Vatukoula at half time by 19-8.

Veteran Emori Ratu scored the first try for Vatukoula in the first half while Alivereti Kenatale and Eroni Qasi scored a try each to close up the score line.

Suva will have to regroup again to face Naitasiri Highlanders next week at the ANZ Stadium.
