Suva soccer coach Gurjit Singh believes that they have players who can deliver to end the 26-year-old drought of not winning the Inkk Mobile Battle Of The Giants tournament which kicks-off this weekend at Govind Park in Ba.
Despite losing their last two National Soccer League matches to Labasa and Nadroga, Singh said the side has been doing the hard yards in training.
Suva is highly likely to retain the same side that featured during the Fiji Fact with the inclusion of star players like Ravinesh Karan Singh, Jale Dreloa, Nickel Chand, Emori Ragata and veteran Pita Rabo.
Suva last won the Battle of the Giants in 1988 beating Ba 4 ‑ 3 on penalty kicks.
Suva will take on Nadroga in their opening pool match of the Ink Mobile Battle Of The Giants at 3pm this Friday.
In other matches, Labasa will take on Rewa at 1pm, Navua will play Lautoka at 5.30pm while Ba will take on Nadi at 7.30pm.
