Suva Zone 2 meet to be close affair-Fiji sprint coach
That is the predication of Fiji Athletics sprint coach, Bola Tafou for the Suva Zone 2 meet at the TFL Stadium today.
Tafou said the presence of Coca Cola Games champion, Suva Grammar School and defending Zone champion Marist Brothers High School will bring out the best from the two schools for the finals.
He added that the highlight of the Suva Zone 2 will be in the 100 meter senior grades where last year's Inter-mediate boys champion, Lepani Naivalu will test his speed with Marist's, Banuve Tabakaucoro who was disqualified in the Coke Games final last year.
The Suva Zone 2 will start at 8.30am at the TFL Stadium.
Meanwhile yesterday in the Triple N Zone, a new Champion was crowned in the boys division.
Lelean Memorial school took the first place after winning 16 gold, nine silver and 10 bronze medals.
Last year’s boys Champions, Sila Central came second with 13 gold, 10 silver and five bronze medals.
Adi Cakobau school continued its dominance in the girls division winning first place with 32 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze medals. Lelean Memorial came second with 4 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals.
