After winning two of their pool matches, the Suva and the Wardens sides are the two likely teams to have booked their places in tomorrow's quarterfinals.
Suva edged Waisale Serevi's PNG side by 14-12, an achievement Suva Coach Kalisito Tunaulu feels will be a big boost to the capital city side.
Wardens coach Josateki Savou said though they beat Manawatu 12-7, their opponents showed more determination to win.
However, the Wardens next match against Suva will be the decider and Savou adds that Suva will be tough.
Meanwhile, Manawatu coach Paul Claridge said even though they lost, the boys improved a lot in their game today.
In other results from the games played so far, Army beat Western Force 26-7, Canada beat Ratu Filise 12-7, Northern Sharks beat Tonga 34-12, Police beat USA 19-7, Samoan Barbarians defeated Veiyasana 19-10.
The game currently underway is between Suva and Wardens, then at 5:22pm Army take on Ratu Felise.
