The Suva Oldies rugby team has embarked on an initiative to raise funds and create awareness on prostate cancer.

The initiative is called ‘Balls and Beards Action and Awareness on Men's cancer in Fiji’ where the members will grow their beards and will get sponsors to fundraise and then shave at the end of the month when they host the oldies tournament on the 30th of this month.

Suva Oldies Vice President Craig Smith said they hope to work with the Fiji Cancer Society on this issue.

Former Suva and national rep Viliame Gadolo said four teams will take part in the oldies tournament later this month which includes Fiji, a Pasifika team made up of Samoan and Tongan players, a team comprising of Australian and New Zealand players and a rest of the world team.
