Suva Netball President Milika Munivai has defended the decision made by Vilimaina Davu and the Fiji Netball management to rest the National players from taking part in the MH Homemaker Netball Tour that kicks off on Saturday.

When contacted by Village sports the Suva Association President stressed that the main reason for excluding the players from the tour was the risk of getting them injured as they would be playing on grass-courts.

However FASANOC's requirement for players going to Samoa was that they take part in local tournaments and attend all trials.

The MH Homemaker Tour kicks off in Nanukuloa, Ra on Saturday.
