The Suva Masters soccer side is determined to lift the 2013 masters Classics Football Tournament in the Over 35 grade after securing 6 points in the opening round yesterday.

Suva Masters thumped Pasifika Tents Nasinu Masters 6-1 and Defeated NZ Dreketi 1-nil.

Former Ba striker Manoa Masi, Kini Doidoi and former Suva rep Inosi Cava were instrumental in Suva's win over the NZ Dreketi side.

Meanwhile in the over 40 grade, the Savusavu Veterans side secured 4 points in the opening round of matches. 

The team drew with Navua Veterans and upset the host Suva Masters 1-nil.  

Savusavu veterans defender and the Tournaments oldest player, 56 year old Kini Tamani said the team is satisfied with the result and will plan and prepare well for the up coming matches.

Today at 8am Ba masters will meet MV Sulliven Mighty lions side and at 10am the Suva Masters will play the Lautoka All Stars.
