A 39 year old man of Suva drowned in the Narain Jetty yesterday.

Police has confirmed that the man was waiting for his parcel to arrive from Kadavu when he fell into the water.

His body was recovered by police late yesterday afternoon.

This is the second case of drowning in the last five days.

This follows the finding of the body of 45 year old bus driver, Janti Lal of Rakiraki after a massive hunt by police officers.

He was found one kilometre away from the place where he was last seen crossing a flooded river on Wednesday night.

Police have warned the members of the public not to try and cross flooded rivers and streams during this weather.
