Suva Lawyer Ratu Savenaca Komaisavai who escaped from the custody of Valelevu police on Saturday afternoon has surrendered this morning.
Officer-in-charge Valelevu police station, SP Manoj Singh confirmed that Komaisavai surrendered early this morning at the Valelevu police and is now in police custody.
He is expected to appear in the Nasinu Magistrates court today to answer to a charge of assault. There was a pending bench warrant against him.
Meanwhile, Ratu Komaisavai was also questioned by police in relation to comments he made on Fiji TV last week.
