The Suva City Council has revealed that Suva's rating as a tourist destination has improved significantly between January and February this year.

SCC Public Relations Officer Julian Hicks said from its dismal rating of 48% recorded in January, Suva is now rated around 74% rating as at February 23rd.

Hicks said this has come about after the council took it into its own hands to improve Suva's ratings, and conducted a series of cruise liner conference and meetings of tourism stakeholders and put in place measures to better the capital's rating as a tourist destination.

Further statistics are expected to be revealed at a press conference tomorrow.
