The Suva Grammar One side won the Southern Zone secondary schools final yesterday afternoon at the Post Fiji Stadium.

The Lions defeated Nasinu Secondary in the under 19 final by 20 points to 8. Both the teams are through to the quarterfinals of the Deans competition and are joined by the Suva Grammar Two side that won the third place playoff after beating Montfort Boys Town by 14 points to 5.

Suva Grammar One will now face RKS in the national quarterfinals while Suva Grammar Two will take on QVS.

The other teams in the quarterfinals are Lelean Memorial School and Nasinu Secondary and they will meet the qualifiers from the western division which are yet to be confirmed.

The under 15 qualifiers are Suva Grammar, Marist Brothers and RSMS while Suva Grammar, Marist Brothers and Lomary qualified from under 16.

From the under 17 division Suva Grammar, Dudley High and RSMS went through, while in the under 18 division it was Marist Brothers, Nasinu Secondary and Nabua Secondary.
