Suva Grammar School made a clean sweep at the Suva Zone Two Athletics competition, winning both the boys and girls division titles.

The Lions have so far won 25 gold, 6 silver and 7 bronze while Marist Brothers lost the boys division title and will now finish in second place as they have 8 gold, 17 silver and 13 bronze.

In the girls division Suva Grammar won 18 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze while Lomary Secondary is second with 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze.

Rampur college finished third with 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze.

Four records tumbled at the Zone meet today. Grammars Eroni Cagi broke his own record in the Inter boys 400 metres final today in a time of 49.6 seconds. The old record stood at 51 seconds which he set last year.

Grammars Nohela Taqai broke the record in the Girls 1,500 metres final, with a new time of 5 minutes and 19 seconds.

Merelita Leba of Laucala Bay Secondary School set a new record in the Open Girls 3,000 metres final with a time of 11 minutes and 32 seconds. And the highlight was when Grammars Lepani Naivalu broke a 12-year-old record in the 200 metres final stopping the clock at 22.23 seconds.
