Engineers from Suva are expected to leave for Ba to carry out maintenance work on the pumps which have caused water disruptions in Ba for the past two weeks.
Ba Water Supply Supervisor, Kamanieli Vunimasi says that four pumps had broken down, causing water problems.
Vunimasi also added that he cannot confirm when water supply will normalize, yet he says that trucks would be carting water to the affected areas.
Meanwhile, residents living within the Suva to Nausori corridor are advised to store water.
Divisional Water Engineer, Central/Eastern, Samuela Tubui, says that due to power disruptions to Waila treatment plant, water supply will be disrupted within the next few hours.
The areas that will be affected are Tovata, Makoi, Valelevu, New Town, Balabala Cresent and Caubati.
