The Suva district is highly likely to be split into two from next year for the FMF Chow Primary Schools Athletics finals.

They dominated the games on Friday and Saturday making a clean sweep in the boys division from the Under 9 to the Under 14 Grades while in the Girls Division, Suva missed out on the Under 9 and Under 11 grade titles but won the Under 10, 12, Under 13 and Under 14 grades.

Concerns were raised by Officials from other districts that Suva has an unfair advantage as they only brought a number of athletes while Suva had the largest contingent and also have proper training facilities ahead of the Games.

FMF Chow Games chief organiser Patrick Bower said plans are now in motion to have Suva Districts split into Suva 1 and Suva 2 like past year's.
