Residents living in the Wailoku, Samabula, Delainavesi, Lami and Veisari areas will be without water again for the whole of today.
Divisional Water Engineer Eastern Samuela Tubui said that last night, the two pumps in the Waimanu Reservoir broke down and it has caused the water supply to be disrupted to these areas.
Tubui adds the engineers have repaired one of the pumps while they are still working on the other pump and are hoping to get it running again tonight.
Meanwhile, as water cuts continue in many areas around the country, plans are being drawn up to rectify the problem and find ways to minimize water disruptions.
The Interim Public Utilities Minister Jone Navakamocea met with the water engineers on Friday to seek answers on the repeated water cuts experienced between the Suva and Nausori corridor over the past weeks.
