The Suva soccer team will have a new captain in this year's FMF/Blue Gas Battle of the Giants soccer tournament.
Association President Maritino Nemani and Coach Allen Jesoni appointed their playmaker from Vanuatu, Saimata Chillia as their new captain.
Jesoni said they need a change in the second major tournament of the year and hopes that Chillia's leadership on the field will bring glory to Suva, which has not the BOG title since 1995.
Jesoni said Inosi Cava who captained Suva last year and this year's Fiji Fact has been named as the vice-captain with another defender Esava Samudere.
Speaking at the Suva Soccer presentation night yesterday, Jesoni said they are keeping a low profile for this tournament. The Capital City side will meet Nadi in their opening Pool match on Thursday at the National Stadium.
