Three suspects who were allegedly involved in the daring $86,000 robbery at Nand's Mall car park in Nabua on Monday afternoon remain in custody.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said a 32 year old salesman was robbed of more than $49,000 cash and cheques worth thirty seven thousand, nine hundred and four dollars and sixty five cents while on a bank run to the Westpac Nabua branch.

The suspects threatened the victim with a kitchen knife and later fled in a taxi which was later abandoned in Nabua.

Naisoro said some cash has been recovered although the amount is yet to be confirmed.

As investigations continue business people are being requested to contact their nearest community post or station if they require a police escort when transporting large sums of money.
