Police are now following some strong leads and a few suspects have been taken into custody for questioning in relation to the daylight robbery at the Western Union branch at the Post Fiji outlet in Suva yesterday morning.
Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni told Fijivillage news that they will ensure these men are brought to justice.
Four masked men armed with beer bottles and knives entered the shop and threatened the teller before stealing more than $20,000 cash.
They later fled in a getaway vehicle registration DN182 which was found abandoned at Suva Point at 2pm yesterday. Police are still trying to establish whether the getaway vehicle was stolen.
