The Northern Division has two suspected cases of dengue fever.
Acting General Manager Hospital Services at the Labasa Hospital, Dr Pablo Romakim said they are not taking these cases lightly.
Dr Romakim said people with dengue like symptoms are advised to take precautions as there is no medicine for dengue.
The Health Ministry had earlier confirmed nine people had been affected with dengue fever.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health's Dr Alefaio added it is advised that people experiencing fever for more than two days and who experience unexplained bleeding or rash or red spots on their skin must immediately see a doctor.
Dr Alefaio encourages people to clean their yards and ensure that there are no places for mosquitoes to breed and pass on the dengue fever.
Also, the Suva City Council Director Health Services Nacanieli Kotoiwasawasa said a meeting will be held tomorrow between Health Ministry and SCC officials on the spraying campaign to help fight dengue fever.
