A suspect has been taken in police custody for his alleged involvement in the death of Tracey Ann O’Brien Maw of Victoria, Australia.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirmed that the man was arrested yesterday afternoon.

Maw’s decomposed body was discovered in the Waiwai bushes on Monday evening and there is confirmation that a missing report was filed with police the same day.

Police had earlier confirmed that the victim was visiting Vunavutu Village with a friend.

Meanwhile, according to Nine News, Maw was in Fiji to reconcile a relationship with a local man.

The report said that her brother, Rodney Maw, had travelled to Fiji to look for his sister who is understood to have been missing for some time.

Fijivillage has been reliably informed that Tracey Maw was living in the same village with the local man’s family.
