A suspect is now in police custody in relation to the alleged murder of a woman in Taveuni on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed a man was taken in custody yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday and Police Chief Operations Officer ACP Henry Brown said the woman lost her life as a result of the wounds inflicted on her.
