Suspect in custody for Howell Rd murder
Samabula Police has confirmed the confession and said charges are expected to be laid later today.
The Kindergarten teacher's body was found inside her house and a post mortem conducted revealed that she died of manual strangulation.
According to police the suspect was known to the victim.
Meanwhile, a major manhunt is underway for two men who robbed a 40yr old supervisor and an accountant of more than $38,000 cash in Lautoka yesterday afternoon.
The two who work for a construction company in Lautoka, were on their way back from the bank to work with the employees' wages when two masked men armed with cane knives attacked them.
The two then grabbed the bag containing $38,000 cash and fled on foot. The incident took place in front of the company.
The accountant and supervisor sustained injuries and were treated and sent home.
