Decisions are expected to be made later today on whether emergency relief supplies will be air lifted to the islands affected by Tropical Cyclone Mick.
Acting Director DISMAC Pajiliai Dobui said a helicopter is being arranged to carry out the survey in the Yasawa's, Gau, Levuka, Beqa and Kadavu.
Tobui said, while relief efforts have commenced on Viti Levu, they have to ascertain the type of immediate assistance needed in the islands before supplies can be deployed.
