The Ministry of Social Welfare will be carrying along with Ecumenical Centre for Research Education and Advocacy, a socio-economic survey in order to assist those households that are facing difficulty so that they will be able to relocate them elsewhere.

This comes after the Suva City Council revealed that they were facing development problems because of the government's inability to relocate these families.

Speaking to Village News, Interim Household Minister Laufitu Malani replying to questions raised with regards to the Suva City Council's grievances, said the increase in squatter settlements is a problem and they will be assessing the families to see which family is really needy of their assistance.
