The rugby public should not live in the past and will have to face reality by giving the young new players in the Digicel Fiji 7's team a chance to prove themselves, in defending the Melrose Cup next weekend in Dubai.
National 7's selectors, Dan Lobendan said alot of criticism has been leveled against the side, but they should remember that it takes time to mould a winning combination.
Lobendan added the nation should stand beside the team and support them to do well in bringing back the Melrose Cup.
The Fiji 7's team left our shores this morning to defend the Melrose Cup in Dubai.
Fiji's first pool game is at 4:16am against Georgia next Friday, then they meet USA at 8:50pm and their last pool game is against France at 2:20am on Saturday.
