The outgoing Commissioner of the Fiji Police Force Commodore Esala Teleni has encouraged all senior officers of the Police Force to support the new Commissioner.
According to the Fiji Police website, in an emotional farewell to his officers at the Police Headquarters at Centrepoint Commodore Teleni advised them to work as a team for the betterment of the Force.
Commodore Teleni said he might be away but his heart will be with them, and that they should love each other and work as a team.
He called on the officers to continue to build the Police Force to be firm, relevant and effective.
Commodore Teleni yesterday handed over the reins to career police officer and his deputy Josaia Baleilevuka who is now the Acting Police Commissioner.
