Tailevu Provincial Council re-elected Chairman, Josefa Serulagilagi has urged council members to support the changes made to the GCC Regulations and not to follow the stance of other provinces.
He made the comment after the GCC Review Committee Chairman, Ratu Joseteki Nawalowalo make a presentation at the council meeting at Ratu Cakobau House this afternoon.
However, his comment did not deter provincial council members who say that they will not support the new GCC regulations, since the Tailevu Bose Vanua had already made a resolution last month not to accept the GCC proposed changes, as the new GCC Regulations were gazetted already, without the Council being consulted.
Also, the council has agreed that they will not change their nominees to the Great council of Chiefs which comprise of Bau High chief Ratu Epenisa Cakobau, Ratu Timoci Vesikula and Ratu Semi Seruvakula.
