The Constitutional Officers Commission will commence interviews to appoint a Supervisor of Elections from next week.
Commission Chairman Rishi Ram confirmed to Village News this morning that eight people have be shortlisted for the post and will be interviewed from Monday.
Those shortlisted for the Supervisor of Elections post are from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Ram said they will be interviewed via video conferencing and the successful applicant is expected to be named in early March.
Earlier, the Constitutional Officers Commission had said that they were hoping to have filed the post of Supervisor of Elections before the end of February.
