The Fiji Sugar Corporation has stressed that supermarkets that are still rationing sugar may be holding back sugar stock.

CEO Deo Saran said they have restored sugar supply two weeks ago and he is concerned to hear that there is still a sugar shortage in supermarkets.

Yesterday, Fijivillage contacted some supermarkets who said they were unsure when sugar supply will normalise as they only allow customers to buy up to 4kg of sugar.
