The Brumbies will face the Bulls in Pretoria after a late conversion miss saw them edge the Cheetahs 15-13 last night.

It couldn’t have been closer as Riaan Smit’s last minute touchline conversion attempt from Rayno Benjamin’s try bounced back off the post and with it went the Cheetahs’ dreams of a semi-final.

The 2013 Super Rugby final now cannot be an all New Zealand final and will be between one New Zealand team and either a South African or Australian team.

If the Bulls and Chiefs win their semifinals the Super Rugby Final will be in Hamilton.

If the Crusaders beat the Chiefs and the Bulls beat the Brumbies the final will be in Pretoria as the Bulls finished in second place at the end of the regular season.

If the Brumbies beat the Bulls and the Crusaders beat the Chiefs the final will be in Canberra.

The only city that cannot host the 2013 Super Rugby final is Christchurch as the Crusaders are the lowest ranked finalist.

At 7.35pm on Saturday the Chiefs host the Crusaders in the first semifinal while the Bulls host the Brumbies at 3am Sunday in the second semifinal.
