Super rugby history is in favor of the Blues and Crusaders to win their play offs against the Waratahs and Sharks this weekend.
The Blues will face the Waratahs while the Crusaders will take on the Sharks at home - with the statistics suggesting that both New Zealand teams will be playing semifinals the following weekend.
The Waratahs' record at Eden Park is poor, but nothing compared to the obstacle the Sharks have to overcome.
No South African team has won a playoff match in New Zealand, stretching back to the days when it was a 12 team competition in 1996.
The winner of the Crusaders and Sharks will fly to Cape Town, where the Stormers lie in wait having secured a bye.
Top qualifiers were the Reds, who will play the winner of the Blues-Waratahs match.
Blues host the Waratahs on Friday at 7:35pm.
